Privacy
Short version: we keep your email and any survey answers you give, to run Arc Lab and to email you about it. If you buy, our shop handles the payment and we never see your card. We never sell your details. Ask, and we delete them.
What we keep
- Your email (and your first name, if you give it), so we can write to you about the waitlist and the launch.
- Your survey answers (the tier you'd pick, the price that feels fair, your series idea, your setup and how you heard about us), so we can set fair prices and decide what to build first.
- Your consent to the launch emails, and when you gave it.
We look at the answers together, as totals ("most people picked Creator"). We never publish your name, email or series idea. If we'd like to quote your idea, we'll ask you first.
Who handles it
- Tally (tally.so) runs the sign-up form on our page and stores the answers for us. Tally's own privacy policy covers what Tally itself logs when you use the form.
- We may copy the answers into a private spreadsheet that only Arc Lab can open, to work out the prices.
- Kit (kit.com) sends our emails. It holds your email, your first name if you gave it, and labels such as "waitlist" or "customer", only to deliver our emails.
- Polar (polar.sh), our merchant of record, takes payments, charges any tax, sends receipts and handles refunds. Polar collects your card and billing details under its own privacy policy. We see your name, email, country and what you bought, never your card number.
- GitHub: if you connect it for the private repository, we see your GitHub username.
- Discord: if you join our server, members can see your Discord name. Polar connects your purchase to your Discord account to give you the right role.
- Reviews: if you leave one, we show the name you choose and your words. The email you give is used only to check you bought, and is never shown.
This website
- It has no cookies, ads, analytics or trackers of its own, and it never asks you to sign in.
- It loads nothing from other sites, except the Tally form (and Tally's small script that fits it to the page) when you open the sign-up form, and the waitlist count from a published spreadsheet with no personal details in it. The video and pictures are stored on this site. Links to YouTube, Instagram and Polar's checkout only open those sites when you tap them.
- If you join the waitlist, this browser remembers that you joined, so the page can show your playbook links again. That note stays on your device; clear your browser's site data to remove it.
- It is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like every web host, GitHub logs visitors' IP addresses and browser details to keep the service secure. We don't use those logs.
Emails
If you ticked "launch emails", you get the launch emails, and later news about new packs and lessons. If you buy, you also get getting-started emails, and you stop getting sales emails for what you already own. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works straight away, or you can reply "stop".
How long we keep it
We delete the survey answers 6 months after launch. Your email and name stay on the list until you ask us to remove them, or until we close the list.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete all of it, at any time. Email contact@arclabstudios.com and we'll do it within 7 days. The waitlist is for people aged 16 and over.
Who we are
